Brockwell Lido is one of those south London places that gets under your skin. The turquoise water, the red-brick changing rooms, the swimmers and sunbathers and dogs — there's a particular quality to a summer afternoon there that's hard to put into words.This illustration tries to capture it instead.
 
Painted in mixed media on paper, this is one of my most loved pieces and one I keep coming back to. It's now available as a large-format A1 print — the biggest size I offer — printed on premium fine art matte paper by a specialist print studio.
 
At this size it fills a wall properly. The details of the figures, the water, the architecture all come through beautifully at A1 in a way that smaller sizes can't quite match.
