I drew this at Brockwell Lido on a warm afternoon, sitting as close as I could get to the water without being in it. There's a specific quality to the light at a lido — bright and flat and slightly bleached — and I wanted to catch that feeling of being somewhere that exists slightly outside normal London time.

A good one for lido fans, open-water swimmers, or anyone who associates Brockwell with summer. Also a perfectly good thing to have on your wall just because it's a nice drawing.

The details

  • Giclee print on 230gsm archival paper — made to last, colours stay true
  • A4 (21 × 29.7cm) and A5 (15 x 21cm)  with a 1cm white border all round
  • Signed by me on the front
  • Arrives in cellophane inside a hard-backed envelope — no bent corners
  • Unframed, fits a standard frame

Also in the shop: this print as a large A1 print, and the Brockwell Lido tea towel, if you want to take the theme into the kitchen.
